Ole Miss has a very good offense. In fact, the only offense to really threaten Bama all season (aside from UGA for a half). Despite the win, LSU's defense still gave up a ton of yards and 34 points to UF. Even though Ole Miss has the worst defense in the country, LSU's isn't much better (ranked about 5 spots "better" than OM).

The bettors are probably looking at the "let down" effect noted by another poster. However, I don't think that will be in play here. Quite the opposite. LSU was as "down" emotionally as they have been all season. They had just been destroyed by Bama and had lost two straight. Guys were quitting and there was talk of a mutiny. From all outward indications it seemed the team was just packing it in for the year. But they didn't. They know this is the final game of the season (win or lose) so perhaps the motivation is one final kick before they shut it down.

The bigger concern is who will be available? Does LSU have more than 2 RB's. Is Johnson limited? Will LSU be down two starting DB's going against one of the top passing offenses in the SEC? That's what I'm sure the sharps are looking at
