We could be looking at a 3/6 matchup with the Bucs

If Saints finish out 12-4 and GB does the same, what about Rams and Hawks who both have 4 L’s too, but do play each other. So we could be back into the 3 way tie with GB and one of those teams. If Rams go 12-4 they’ll have 2 AFC and 2 NFC losses. If Hawks go 12-4, they’ll have 1 AFC and 3 NFC losses. Saints and GB would have both 2 NFC and 2 AFC losses. Not sure how the 3 team tie breaker works, but I’d have to assume this Eagles loss win percentage wise would kill our chances and being a 1 or 2 seed?

Difference between 2 and 3 is almost nil, whatever

The Saints won't play the Bucs as the #2 seed. Its actually a better matchup to be the #2 than the #1 outside of that whole bye week thing

in the 3-team tiebreaker you're looking at... we would be the 2 seed
let's assume the Rams finish the sweep of the Seahawks to win the West and both the Saints & Packers both lose 1 game which happens to be the 2 teams 1 AFC game left (KC @ NO & TEN @ GB)
head to head is dead since the Rams won't play the Saints nor the Packers
so it goes to common opponents
Packers (4-1) lost to the Bucs but beat the Eagles, 49ers, & Bears twice (GB @ CHI week 17 - so I'm assuming a 2nd win for GB over CHI)
Saints (4-1) lost to the Eagles but beat the 49ers, Bears, & Bucs twice
Rams (3-2) have 2 Ls to the 49ers but wins over the Eagles, Bears & Bucs
Rams relegated to 3 seed
then we go back to break the tie between the Saints & Packers... which means the head-to-head goes to the Packers
Packers 1 seed
Saints 2 seed

We need to beat the chiefs. If we do we still have a decent shot at #1. I think the packers will drop one to the Titans or bears.
I just realized that if the bears beat the packers in week 17 it could drop them into a 3 way tie with us at #1 and them at #3. In this scenario the bears are the last wildcard team so they would definitely have something to play for.

Josh, yes there is. We go on the road to face 2 at their house if we are 3
