The CW can put out a decent show for a season or two, but once they get you hooked they jump the SJW shark in a major way

They didn't even wait that long for Batwoman nor Black Lightning.

The only saving grace Stargirl may have is that Geoff Johns has stated he's keeping a firm hand on the rudder of the show (and that's because he wrote the character as a tribute to his dead sister). That's the kind of connection that can push a creator to tell a network like CW unless they maintain all creative control (ala JK Rowling and Harry Potter) then they can just go frick the horse they rode in on.

Johns has made a metric shitload of money from DC, it's not like he's going to starve if CW balked at any of his demands. Besides, with Arrow ending, Flash on the way out, Batwoman losing its lead and the other DC shows in some form of jeopardy, they needed Stargirl more than he needed them to take it since HBO Max was happily snapping up all the other DC streaming shows without caveating wokeness injections before broadcast.

I watched both of these first seasons. They didn't completely lose their minds on Batwoman (maybe making the lead gay was SJW enough for them?), but you're right about Black Lightning. I finished the season out, but it got unbearable by the end of it. I definitely won't be watching either show again though. The new Batwoman lead makes no sense.
