There are just too many bad circumstances surrounding the football program and athletic department right now. To be fair, Not all of them are O’s fault. A lot of them are totally out of his control.
While I’ve grown fond of Coach O, I also realize the reality that a “program reset” may be the only option they are left with to put out multiple fires with one swing. I’m not saying I necessarily agree or disagree with O potentially getting fired, I’m just saying I totally understand that it’s certainly an option on the table in order to get the program (and department) out from under the black cloud and start the recovery/rebuild process.
LSU football is big business. Woodward and others are charged with navigating these circumstances to mitigate damage to LSU and ensure that we have a successful future. While O getting fired will be tough for many to swallow, it may very well be the most efficient/economical way to get past all this nonsense and allow the program to mend its own wounds.
