because the draft has happened?
do you pay attention to any projections or player buzz, or do you just always talk out of your arse?

yeah which is why i don't see why you're projecting him to be a top pick right now
I'm not, NFL scouts are

he hasn't proven it on the field. he doesn't have prototypical height and he has a big arm. that's it
the early verdicts are contrary to your assessments

he's not accurate and he tries to do too much and turns it over a good bit
dude........we're talking about Matt Flynn here and what it takes to win a title.... come on
say what you will to justify your arguement, UGA has a complete team with all of the proper components in place and Stafford is more than capable of taking them as far as they can go... losing Sturdivant hurts a little, but they are the most complete team in the best conference in football... that conference and road schedule is killer though, still, their downfall won't be Stafford, it will be traveling to Auburn, Arizona St. and LSU and a nuetral site meeting in a revenge game against FL that is the biggest concern ..the QB spot for them is as solid as any team in the league aside from FL ...I'd love to have Stafford right now in purple and gold

And they failed, FAILED MISERABLY!
not really. they got 2-3 deep plays on chevis
and they would have had a TD beating him deep but he popped the ball out (which was a good play)

stafford has worse stats than sean glennon

UGA clearly has more talent than LSU, always has. We produce far more talent in the state than LA does.
wow.
You do realize that Louisiana is No. 2 in the country at putting players in the NFL... per capita, right? Who's No.1 you ask? not Georgia. Mississippi.
And since we own both Louisiana and Mississippi in recruiting... well, you get the picture.

yeah i do. i also pay attention to guys like chris simms, chris redman, jordan palmer, jason thomas, etc

link to a quote by an NFL scout?

look at his stats. they don't lie
and isn't he listed 6-2?

our D last year > UGA's D this year
our schedule last year is much easier than UGA's rode this year
our WRs last year are better than UGA's this year
our OL last year is a lot better than UGA's will be this year
apples to oranges when comparing the teams
the only think UGA has over LSU is their #1 RB may be better than our #1 RB. may.
quote:
UGA has a complete team with all of the proper components in place
yeah except DE and OL . but who needs 2-3 good pass rushers and an OL to win?
their back 7 isn't exactly the cream of the crop in talent either
quote:
losing Sturdivant hurts a little,
he was their starting LT. that's one of the 3-4 most important positions on the field. that hurts a lot
quote:
their downfall won't be Stafford
yet to be seen
he wasn't exactly stellar last year
quote:
the QB spot for them is as solid as any team in the league aside from FL
yeah but there is a huge gap from TT to the rest of the league
quote:
I'd love to have Stafford right now in purple and gold
i'd prefer him to our current QBs no doubt, but i wouldn't think we could challenge for the SEC with him
now RP? different situation entirely

yeah let's look at his stats. to show the believers
194/348 (55.7%) for 2523 yards(7.25 ypa), 19/10, 128.92 rating
he was #56 in the nation in passer efficiency last year

Go back and look again. The plays they did get was blown coverage not speed related.
And you are also forgetting on one of those attempts when he was one on one he got the pick. Any team would have loved to have him as thier corner.
And i know you are aware that he is locking it down 4 the falcons.

Which means he was not beat deep if he was close enuff to pop the ball out.

Brett Ratliff is also arse-raping teams for the Jets.
You may ask, "Who is that?" And I will say "My point exactly"

This guy is probably just lying... after all, he is just some fat frick working for ESPN
LINK
This probably wrong too:

You speak of the HUGE gap between Tebow and Stafford, but Scout rates him directly behind Tebow at #2 QB in the COUNTRY for '09 Draft:
LINK
...not to mention the endless mock drafts out there that have him in the Top 10.
Wouldn't you also say that if he is No. 2 in the SEC at QB, whether it be distant or not, that comparably he should be a strength and not a weakness?? You say that the SEC and road schedule is so tough but admit he's No. 2 in the conference at his position, so obviously he won't be a weakness and will be more than capable to lead UGA as far as they can go. The schedule, not him, will be the deciding factor for UGA and their success this year... UGA will be stronger at QB than their opponent in every game they play this year exceot for the one they play in Jacksonville.
quote:
The only question about Stafford isn't if he'll be a first-round NFL draft pick, but when he'll be one. Several projections have Stafford going among the top 5 picks if he chooses to come out after this season.
LINK
This probably wrong too:

Bulldogs junior quarterback Matthew Stafford already has NFL scouts drooling over his skills.

Locking people down in preseason doesn't mean much.
Its the preseason.

My response was to the post saying that Chevis Jackson got beat deep a lot. I disagreed with that statement.
So are you saying that you believe Chevis Jackson was toast a lot while at LSU.
I just want to see if we are talking about the same guy.

Look at what I quoted.
Its about the Falcons.... hence my response is about people using preseason results to quantify a guy's talent and college career.
FWIW Chevis's big weakness was his speed when he had to cover deep. Its the only reason he wasn't a first round pick.

no
there is a huge performance gap
stafford has talent, but he just has not been a good QB

how many had jordan palmer in the 1st round?
how many had andre woodson in the top 10 this time last year?

no he's going to have a major role, and if he doesn't take a big step they could have an easy schedule and still not come close to being #1 this year. he is simply not a good QB right now

Crompton could be a better QB this year
CMU's QB went 3,000/1,000 last year
they play Rudy Carpenter, who only put up 3200/62%/8.05 ypa/25:10 last year (20 point higher QB rating)
if JPW gets back to his 2006 form, he could put up similar/better stats this year
remember stafford was ranked in the mid 50s last year. there were 50-some odd something QBs who had better ratings

nice reply
3 QBs they play put up better #s than Stafford last year (1 was non-BCS, however, but he put up amazing #s)
JPW put up similar #s in 2006 than Stafford put up in 2007 (yeah he regressed last year and might this year)
crompton has similar talent to stafford

Who won the game when the two played each other in Tuscaloosa last year?
Answer: Beautiful pass by Stafford in OT to win the game ...I'll take that Stat

Which has what to do with which QB is better?
Eli must have been a horrid college QB since Ole Miss lost a lot of games while he was there.

big arm and can move
crompton is actually more prototype for the NFL being more mobile and being NFL-size
