I don’t. If orgeron gets fired then that’s 6 months to a year away and then you recover. Miles was a 5 year firing process. Don’t miss that.

Anyone who wanted Miles gone before mid 2014, and there were many, was a completely blinded by hate bitch. Even that was likely a bit too early.

2015 was really the only legit shot to fire him. I still thought he deserved a shot with that 2014 class in 2016, but would have been ok with it if we had a legit replacement lined up in Jimbo. I could have seen the value in making that move.

But of course Alleva bungled that and that whole drama only set him up to fail in 2016.

There were valid concerns in 08 and one big red mark in 09 at OM, but beating Meyer and Saban in 2010 and the 2011 run had given him more than enough slack to make it through another really good 2012 and a decent 2013 where it looked like the offense was getting better.

Even QB looked solidified with two highly touted prospects on the roster going into 2014. That became clear very quickly that they weren’t the answer but just more of the same though, so again midway through 2014 was the first real moment when things looked to be over and time to move on.

It’s crazy that if it weren’t for the Meyer machine at UF and the Saban dynasty at Bama Miles very likely has two back to back championship runs in 06-07 and 11-12 and who knows what happens after that.

The two best coaches in modern CFB history were all that stopped goofy ol Les from being considered in that conversation. Pretty damn strong imo.

2016 minus 5 = 2011

holy shite you people are stupid.

can't possibly fire O in the midst of the most embarrassing shite storm of a season in a generation, but damn right Miles should have been run off DURING A SEASON HE PLAYED FOR A TITLE.
