the area around camden was pretty awesome when I passed thru. I want to go back and hang out there for a couple of days.

Bar Harbor is a good three hours from Portland
It's worth a visit along with Acadia National Park but there is also a lot to do around Portland area that is not so far away
Plus during tourist time, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are really crowded and parts of the park may be restricted depending on crowds.
