Would not be surprised if this album is awesome.
Phenomenal songwriter/artist, but kind of a sleazebag. What he did/is accused of wasn't bad enough for me to stop listening. I'm kind of expecting all of the recent turmoil to bring another great album out of him.

I gave it a listen and not really digging it. I was a huge fan of Whiskeytown and his music up through the Cardinals. Somewhere along the line he lost his mojo. Most of his music now sounds like he’s sitting alone in his room making up lyrics and melodies as he goes.

Just listened through. Man this is rough. I’m a huge fan but this just sucks. Most of the lyrics are just cringeworthy. I kept hoping for a gem somewhere in there but it never came. All around piss poor effort.
