Exactly, it was a drug seizure. He needed a car that fit his undercover image of being a big player in the drug smuggling game. Also why he had a Scarab cigarette boat. He drove a '59 Chevy Apache for a couple of episodes after his Daytona was blown up and before he got the Testarossa.
