That's cool and all, but I bet every single player on the Vandy mens soccer team (and the Vandy punter) could do exactly what she did and better. Most adolescent boys soccer players could too. Kicking a soccer ball that far is not difficult for any competitive teenage soccer player. I played club soccer until I was about 15. Kids were kicking the ball that far at like 11 or 12 years old. There's a reason girls and boys don't play against one another. The move to make her the kicker was a publicity stunt, period. And unless she's willfully ignorant, she knows that too. For her to be named the SEC ST player of the week for duffing a kickoff 20 yards is one of the more laughable virtue signaling things I've seen in the sport. Like give me a fricking break. This is like the "everyone gets a trophy" generation on steroids.
