There's the problem. Most guys using the 7mm rem mag for elk aren't using factory tubes shooting 140gr. They're shooting 8 to 9 twist rifles that stabilize 170 to 195gr bullets.

Everybody I know who uses a 7 mag for elk is using a factory rifle and they shoot 175gr factory loads. They haven't seen a need to get a bigger rifle yet and one of them killed an absolute bruiser last year with his.
