Did you read the rest of my statement, I said in hindsight they may find problems but a lot of those lawyer commercials are BS, like class action suits because they had side effects that were already warned.... they might get a check for 5$. OxyContin is a different story, nobody NEEDED that drug except maybe terminal patients

They won't knowingly approve something that can harm us, is what you might have meant.
737 MAX is a recent example of federal regulator failure that comes to mind.
