Which is tantamount to war. You take away the means for people to protect themselves, you essentially take away their freedom. We are currently in a cold civil war and I'm not sure what will happen if those things start to be put in place. Already there are too many incremental restrictions in place all over the country that is subverting our rights in the name of safety. We will either continue to roll over and continue to take it, or people will rise up to stop it, whether by voice or force.
