Yeah, the NFL HOF is fickle like that, kinda lame imo. He did have 3 TDs in the beatdown of the Chargers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he was one of the first guys to really be a running and receiving threat, especially in the 49ers west coast system.

His stats only look better if you take out his final year where he had ~80 touches in 5 games.

How many people "fearded" Curtis Martin? I think he gets in.

My thought is that he was part of a trio consisting of Young and Rice and RW. When two belong, it's natural to think the third does. I thought RW was good, but IMO you should be truly special to be in the HOF. He wasn't that.
