While it would be nice to having something of interest to watch on TV, I think apathy for the fan base has set in and I imagine the same for the players. Three weeks without a game, in the middle of the season.
It's just a matter of time before the season is "cancelled". The powers that be (i.e. those above the coaches, AD's, players) quietly want that result and the absurd "contact tracing" requirements are too onerous to be practical.

LSU isn't in a place financially to just cancel the season.

I’m starting to have serious doubts the season will make it to December
