The top three quarterbacks in the 2021 Top247 have not played their senior seasons. Caleb Williams, Sam Huard and Drake May are each operating without a season to work with this fall. Each would have had some runway for moves with the right kind of senior film. Others are taking advantage of their own opportunities. Tennessee commit Kaidon Salters is on the rise. He’s up to No. 46 with some outstanding production and reviews from our Texas analysts. LSU commit Garrett Nussmeier jumped 37 spots; he’s another Texan with continued strong showings. Utah native Jaxson Dart has been the biggest senior riser, elevating from a mid-three-star rating to a Top247 perch at No. 186. Clemson commit Bubba Chandler made a similar rise out of Georgia where he’s gone from baseball prospect to top-flight quarterback. We also gave a boost to Florida State commit Luke Altmyer who is having another strong campaign out of Mississippi and joins the four-star crop. The Seminoles are holding on to Altmyer for dear life.
