I really hope Scouts can recover from this. The security is so strict now, safety should be much better.

He said that number doubled after the Boy Scouts, under the supervision of a bankruptcy judge, launched a nationwide advertising campaign on Aug. 31 to notify victims that they had until Nov. 16 to seek compensation.

They spent millions trying to encourage people to come forward,” Van Arsdale said. “Now, the question is whether they can make good on their commitment.”

I recommend Tail Life USA as an alternative.

There were some obvious victims and it was/is a tragedy. With the outreach and today’s culture, there will obviously be bullshite claims mixed in.

Protocol these days is super strict and in large part because of the sickos of years past.

Hope it can survive because it is an exceptional organization today.

The security may be in place but the rot within the internal parts of the organization ensures that they will continue to decline until they are no more. We have known about this abuse for nearly 2 decades, I remember ALL of the dads in my troop taking on a more active role when the first allegations first came forward. I feel like a lot of what the scouts have done these last few years (allowing gays, trannies and women in specifically) has been done to try to rebuild the organizations image in the eyes of the general public.
But I feel as though this has caused them to become alienated from the people the organization was built on. Namely religious institutions and local communities that used Boy Scouts as a way to build more male bonding time between Father and Son in a society that is increasingly trying to destroy to nuclear family.

Because of this we have seen offshoots of the Boy Scouts appear based on the Scouts of old. These organizations it looks like have taken up the mantle of carrying on this tradition of father/son bonding and male comradery. The Mormon Church has already left BSA and taken almost 30% of the BSAs membership with them, that is a massive number. As an Eagle Scout, I honestly couldnt be more happy that these groups are trying to carry on what remains of the BSA's legacy. Because the BSA will not stand up to these "progressives" who are hell bent on destroying of what remains of Christian America and the nuclear family. If they wont do that and stand up for the values they claim to champion, then I would look elsewhere to send my son. I know that when I have kids and hopefully a son, they wont be enrolled in "Scouts."
