Fair enough. At the very least, we didn't have to rely on Burrow's arm like Florida has to for Trask in many of the early games

Huh? This year's defense is worse, but last year's was plenty bad. Without Burrow's arm, we lose Texas, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and there's a decent chance Ole Miss gets us. Wasn't until the A&M game that the defense started playing at a high level. Don't forget, even Vandy put over 30 on the board on us.

No. LSU's offense gave up 14 to Vandy, LSU's defense only gave up 24. In the other games;

Bama - Helaire scored 4 TDs
Auburn - Burrow ran in a goal line TD and Helaire ran for 136 and a TD
Florida - Helaire and Price combined for almost 180 rush yards and 3 TDs on only 16 carries
Ole Miss - Helaire ran for 170 and 1 TD and the running backs combined for 200 rushing.

Texas was probably the only game we lose if Burrow didn't just go crazy. We could have gotten average play from Burrow in every other game and listed.

We were also playing better defenses too.
