What are our chances with him? How soft is his verbal to Bama?

Depends on who you ask. If you ask a Bama fan, he's 100% committed. If you ask Trent, he's "about 50% committed." It's not just LSU and Bama in the race either. UF is still a major player.

I don't understand why anyone would be set on taking him over Michael - considering that Richardson has only played 7 games over the past two years.

That doesn't mean he can't handle the load, but Michael is the truth IMO.

I've heard people who know way more about recruiting than me say this, but I'm skeptical. Why would any top notch RB want to play in Meyer's system?

Why not? If you're good enough, you'll get plenty of action as a true freshman.

I don't think Meyer will always have a Tebow type QB. I'm curious to see if the RB's get a little more usage this season

Both guys are pretty similar in terms of overall talent and upside potential, but I would give Michael a slight edge over Richardson simply because of what appears to be some serious ego problems for Richardson. I don't know either kid personally, but I've seen video interviews and read plenty of quotes from both. Both guys are really impressive talents though. I would say Michael probably has a little better change-of-direction and softer hands, but Richardson looks like a better runner between the tackles and may have slightly better top-end speed.

Meyer probably wouldn't want Tebow to be the team's leading rusher. I think his usage of Tebow as a fullback results more from a lack of talented backs (in the past). I think you'll see a lot of Rainey and Moody this season.

No offense, but I believe that you are looking for the "losers with displaced anger" blog.

Bammers can take TR, give us CM, and we can laugh in their face when CM becomes one of the best rb's out of this class

Are Bama fans concerned about his past history of injuries? Not that they should be, since it seems to be minor injuries. However, everything is scrutinized with recruits. Michael Ford's history has been discussed ad nauseum on here and he has played in a lot more games than Richardson in his career.

No...should we turn him away because he has gotten hurt in HS?
