Thanks, Shaffer, and thanks to all who have responded. I will make sure that he sees this thread. Hopefully it will be several pages long whenever he sees it.
Yes, I was the point guard at Redemptorist that graduated the year before him. I went off to play ball in junior college and then came back to LSU after my two years there. Duane and I hooked back up since then.
One fortunate thing is that Duane has become a successful business man and works for very large firm that provides good benefits. He will receive the best care available. I just hope that it is not too late. Without question, he is one of the greatest people that I have ever met. His father died when he was very young, and his mom raised him and his big brother by herself for several years. She is also not doing well, but that is another story. She does not know about this yet.
(By the way the name is Braud not Breaux.)

I didn't know him personally but I remember him well from my days in school. He and his family are in my prayers tonight.

Added a little special prayer for his Mom too...Duane the Tiger Nation is behind you and your family. Don't ever give up...while you still have life, you have hope. And remember no matter what, His Grace is Sufficient.
Admin, would you sticky this so when Ranty Randy goes to see Duane, they don't have to search for it? Thanks!

Randy, Duane and his family will definitely be in my prayers. I graduated from Redemptorist with you in 1975 and remember Duane.

Thanks Randy. Nothing but fond memories of Duane. You can't say that about too many folks. I look forward to the updates and visiting him to let him know we all care and wish him a full recovery. Never said I could spell..... Keep the humor in life.
