I remember Duane and if I'm right, he played for Ric Huckaby at Redemptorist. Good player and very nice person. My prayers are with him tonight.

Prayers sent from San Francisco. Duane is related to my sister in law (her uncle) and have met him a few times. My mother has been to MDA several times for lymphoma and each time she's beaten it. They are doing amazing things now to fight cancer and please be a positive force for him. God bless

This is an update to Duane's situation as of this afternoon 8-15-08.
I just spoke to his wife Tory. Duane is now at MD Anderson. He has a team of doctors working with him. First a kidney biopsy will be done, and then to be safe a bone scan will follow. Other tests will also follow. Until the doctors can find out exactly what type of cancer it is, they don't know exactly how it will be treated yet.
A few of the old LSU basketball players are scheduled to visit with him this weekend, and I am planning on going to Houston Monday. If Duane is up to it, I will visit him at MD Anderson Monday evening. The DeArmond family really appreciates all of the nice responses they they have seen in this thread. Please keep them coming, and please continue to pray for Duane and his family.
