I actually like it when guys that are considered leans go to the school they were leaning to... makes me feel so much better about Randle and McFarland.

Looks like all our eggs are in the Randle basket. Surprised we didn't offer this kid.

I know...I guess I meant "surprised he never came to LSU to earn his offer"

after watching his vids... i'm not overly impressed. he's alright... solid player, but nothing earth shattering. i'd rather have 5-6 other guys we have a shot at.

Huh? The 10th ranked receiver with size and speed, and you weren't impressed???

He's solid. I just don't think he's a top 100 type of player. I saw nothing that really distinguished him. Good size. Doubt his speed is accurate.

I'm sure he'll be a good player for the Illini.

Yeah, he is not a top 100 player. He is actually top 50. That's ok, I am sure Zook is happy.

If only Zook could kick Notre Dame out of Chicago, he'd have built a pretty sturdy Saban-esk fence around the state over the past few years.

Big time pick up.

The only one Zook has lost to ND from Chicago is Watt, the lineman. He has everyone else tied up pretty good.

He's just not good enough to play here and we never wanted him anyway. Good luck to him at Illinois.

well if you count last year then u add in steven filer, and a couple of other chicago-land studs. but, i think that area might be more ND friendly than it is ILL.

Egg, the one they wanted last year was Martez Wilson, not Filer.

Chicagoland is certainly ND football country (though Illini hoops are big). It'll be a tough task for Zook to lock that down over a long period.

I think that was the case with Turner, but I don't see too many recruits getting away from Zook.
