New to the area and looking for any helpful tips, suggestions, rules/regulations to be aware of, etc. for deer hunting these areas. Any help would be awesome.

Also, if you've had success on either of these WMAs, post a pic and show off your kills!

all the big ducks are deeeep in there. Keep pushing east and there's some ponds back there on the west side of Bayou Gallion that hold them by the 100s

Been a whole lot of years since I hunted there. But it used to be a wonderland for me. Squirrels, ducks, and the occasional deer. Was like 4 miles from my house. Those big oaks and there canopy are missed by me every fall.

Talking about Sage, but as I said, it has been a long long time. Best to put a climber on your back and scout, scout, scout.

There are some absolute studs in Sage. You have to put in the work and go where others won't, however.

There are plenty of deer in both.you can have success if you hunt middle of the week. Weekends are crowded.

Since you are asking about deer hunting, I will give you some advice since I don’t live up there anymore but the big deer head to the water to beat the pressure. I can not tell you how many big bucks I have seen laid up on dirt mounds in the Sage in the timber. They typically go nocturnal and will only move to high ground to eat and then head back to the flooded woods.
