hoefully we're running a 3-4 where lateral movement isn't required then

even in high school, he never showed the ability to move east/west very well

he's a pure straightline, ILB type of guy

Forget about Cutrera for a second ... Peveto sucked hardcore last season. He's the one who needs to improve.

No, never lived in Laff or even attended a AHS game. It just irks me that some here talk shite about a kid who had 1 bad game, which was the same game in which the entire defense got smoked. All the other games he started he produced. He had a great true freshman year because he was healthy.

How so? He had our Linebackers playing well last year.

Perhaps Darry will move around, too.

if al woods were still 350+, we could run a 3-4 pretty easily with TJ and RJF at DE

rahim alem and beckwith at rush LB, and cut/riley

it'd be a nice look, and a nice way to combat spread option teams

Our Special Teams does need to show some improvement. But, Peveto won't be coaching that anymore. And, he was not nearly as bad as some made him out to be. I'm glad he's a part of our staff. It was just a shame that we didn't have a true special teams coach on our staff last year. You'd think that at the place we are at, we wouldn't have to place coaches in positions that are more likely to lead to failure than something they've proved they can be successful at.

special teams was horrible and our LBs weren't that great when we weren't facing a traditional offense

cut hasn't shown any ability on the field for LSU in any game, and he looked HORRIBLE against arkansas

and he is an overhyped local acadiana-area recruit that too many people try to pump as great on here

there needs to be a balance to that craziness

But how much of that was due to lack of speed on the outside? I mean, we all THOUGHT Ali Highsmith was pretty fast but it turns out he isn't really that fast.

Aren't Riley and Sheppard both supposed to have better speed than Highsmith and Sanders? Or am I wrong about that?

Our Linebackers were part of a Defense that finished #3 in the Nation. And as you were so eager to point out, a few were playing way above thier physical skill level. How did LSU do on Extra Points, Field Goals & Punting?

The kid played fine and held his own in the games he started except for Ark. He has been very solid on kickoff every year. All I am saying is that the coaches see these kids practice evryday and they know more about who can or cannot play than the fans.
