Just curious and any tips on any local stores that may have them on launch day?

Still trying to decide between a 5800X and 5900X if I do go for one. May just wait until after the first of the year if they're too hard to get and GPU is higher prio for me.

Same, I’m trying MicroCenter on launch and would really be fine with either.
To be honest though the 3700x I got to hold me over until the new chips come out has been such an upgrade over my old 6600k it’s making me wonder if I should even bother. If I can get the 5900x I’ll probably ship it back to Amazon, 5800x will be a tougher decision for me.

Man I wish we had a microcenter closer or I would be there waiting! I’m just shooting for a 5600X myself. Will be a huge upgrade from my 2014 i5 4670K!

I averaged 4K to build a new series system, need peripherals as well, thinking 5800X with 6900XT gpu

I was planning on it until they paired a $50 price hike with a x-only release, creating what is functionally a $100 price hike. Caught a 3600 on sale for $175 and figured I would upgrade later in the cycle once the skus are all out.

Nah, sticking with my 3600x. I originally upgraded from a 1600. If I do a upgrade it would be for a 3700-3900x for sub $150.

I'm unfortunately stuck with Intel for the time being, in time I'll make the switch to Ryzen
