How would he limit the offense? He has a liftewning quick release accurate and a strong arm he absolutely doesn’t limit the offense
In fact...Malzahn stated the following:
quote:
On LSU quarterback J.T. Finley… “I was very impressed with the young guy. They ran the football, and he made some good throws in tight coverage. The big thing is that they were able to run the football successfully with Finley at quarterback.”

Oh wow, no one has pointed this out until now! My mind has completely changed

Man the world has gone insane. Let it play out, we will know soon enough.

TJ will Win and it won’t be close

Either the SC defense wasn't that good or our O-line played their best game by far, or both. That being said, some of TJ's throws were ropes right in stride - beauties. Auburn and Bama D will be way tougher tests

Well of course you don’t, you’re one of the stupidest posters to ever disgrace this board.
quote:
He's just expressing an opinion that's apparently different than yours, so because of that, he gets called "Angry."
An opinion would be something like “I still believe that Myles is the better quarterback and should go back to starting when healthy.” And, though some may disagree, that opinion would be valid and fair. Yet, the OP condescendingly and sarcastically invokes the title “Messiah” in the thread title, when he knows good and well no one has ever seriously described Finley as such.
But it’s when he states to just wait until Finley goes 8-20 against Auburn that his true colors are revealed. That’s not just a prediction—it’s a wish, a hope—he wants it to happen. Because he then invites these non-existent straw men “claiming he’s the Messiah” to “come at him” for what he thinks will be a glorious “I told you so.”
That may, in fact, not make him “angry.” But it sure as shite makes him an a-hole. As it does you for defending him. And being somewhat familiar with your posts on here—posts so profoundly idiotic that they can’t simply be ignored—I have no problem calling you a cock-sucking, motherfricking a-hole. As are the rest of your ilk rooting against a true freshman LSU QB who performed quite admirably in his 1st start.

They have arguably the best 3 CBs as a unit in the conference.

First off it’s “Myles” not miles.
Secondly, Myles Brennan won’t be playing football for the foreseeable future.

One of the biggest positives for Finley, and would've been for Johnson as well, is that they just finished High School. Meaning, they haven't had much time between their last live action. Yes I know its HS, but live reps matter. When you've pretty much sat the bench for 3 years, its hard to just groove back into the game.
This is a really good point, and one that I made about Burrow going into ‘18. Not to argue against him starting by any means, but to just not expect him to set the world on fire right out of the gate. Said the same thing about Myles too. Neither had started a game going into their 4th seasons since high school. Now, I don’t think that should have been a factor on who started, just to expect some nerves and rust early on.
Another point nobody has brought up—or at least I haven’t seen it—is the advantage that Finley has—not over Myles, but the typical true freshman QB—is being able to play in front of mostly empty stadiums. And not just on the road. Even a home game in Tiger Stadium would provide a daunting and pressure-filled atmosphere.
That said, I just want to be clear that I hope TJ balls out every series he’s in there. But I do think Myles should be the starter if and when he is healthy enough to do so without the threat of re-injury.

I want Brennan to start but you genuinely sound like you hate Finley for personal reasons

I’m confused at how someone can get upset that their quarterback played well. It’s bizarre.
Posted on 10/28/20 at 11:31 am to Topwater Trout
He’s not scared to get hit or stand in the pocket. Myles very much is. Also Myles will never run on an RPO.
