I do know. Do you not know the difference between self-defense and murder? In the eyes of the law, the difference lies in witness testimony and other people's opinions of events. quote:This all started out as a discussion about self defense shooting, and I said "go home" right then. That isn't what you said. You said if anyone tries to disarm you, shoot them.

I wouldn't have thought this would have needed explaining, but if you actually have to shoot someone in self defense, anybody that's around is probably not your friend, and they sure as hell aren't the police. I would not give up my gun. I would just be gone.

Now you are just being dishonest, there was 1 post between the "shoot them" comment and the one about waiting at home. That post was about weasels making laws, so that you always need more weasels, and really had nothing to do with the first comment, except that maybe one thing the advice of a lawyer will insure, is that you are going to need a lawyer. He aint cutting himself out, ever. Is that what you call tapdancing? Making separate unrelated posts?

If you are in a dangerous situation then certainly call 911 and tell them what you are doing and why. Nobody is saying that you have to stay in an obvious threatening situation. Law enforcement would understand -- but as soon as they met up with you they would be taking your weapon.

I don't know where you're hanging out, but more likely, the people around you will be neutral. Well, they were neutral, until you shot someone and drove off.

Wrong. It was 5-6 posts in before you started talking about going home after a shooting.

Well...yes. I understand what tap dancing means in this context.
