All valid concerns.

They'd have to setup an independent governing body to determine state of mind of person requesting euthanasia, a medical board approval of the validity of their claims that they are "terminal", and there would have to be legislation in place to prevent insurance companies from using predatory rates.

It would be pretty complicated, but we could absolutely do it.

Every law, rule, mandate or suggestion has a slippery slope on some front and there are almost always unintended consequences. IMO you set up a system that favors the "rights" of the many over the few which can be done but it never prevents 100% the nefarious intent of family when in conjunction with a naive or corrupt doctor.
