I have a bit of an interesting spin on that. I love 1st rounders and would love to stockpile picks/players all day. But top 5 picks need to be sure things, not projects. Even top 10 is a bit of a risk. Why? Cause of the money. Look at last year's picks and what they will make this coming season..

10. Hayes- 5.1M
17. NAW- 3.1M
I know if sounds like penny pinching, but those dollars are going to matter down the line. I'd rather 2 picks in the late lottery than top 3, in this draft. Especially if we are not sure if they are going to be good..

Money is only really an issue if you're a club who can attract good free agents. Titles are won on the back of top tier talent. Draft a guy and you control him for 7 years.
