I have a bit of an interesting spin on that. I love 1st rounders and would love to stockpile picks/players all day. But top 5 picks need to be sure things, not projects. Even top 10 is a bit of a risk. Why? Cause of the money. Look at last year's picks and what they will make this coming season..
1. Zion- 10.2M
10. Hayes- 5.1M
17. NAW- 3.1M
I know if sounds like penny pinching, but those dollars are going to matter down the line. I'd rather 2 picks in the late lottery than top 3, in this draft. Especially if we are not sure if they are going to be good..
