I would have gambled and gotten the caucus around Mayor Pete, but I think it also showed they feared the thought of Bernie becoming President far more than being nationally embarrassed again and Trump to win re-election. This is the same party who thought the lessons of Hillarycare in 1994 was “we didn’t go far enough” and pushed through ObamaCare in 2010.

what am I missing? trying to wrap my head around this timeline
