Completely anecdotal here, but I’ve had several of my friends from both HS and college who now live in big cities like New York tell me that they voted for Hillary in 2016, but are now voting for Trump. They just have to keep it a secret because of the social pressures to conform to leftist ideology in big cities.

This is how I am. I don’t tell anyone, especially where I work, that I voted and will vote for Trump. That’s a fast track to the unemployment line.

Think of the indictment this is on the left/progressives. People are so fearful of how they will be treated that they self censor themselves.
