On the hottest morning yet of camp, the Tigers looked sharper than the day before.
Quarterback’s Andrew Hatch and Jarrett Lee were hitting the receivers on the out routes regularly and Demetrius Byrd, Terrance Toliver and Brandon LaFell look to be in sync for the sure bet as the top three wide outs.

that report sounds really good this team will surprise a lot of doubters. i think we have a 50-50 shot of winning the SEC again. 24 days and counting i don't know if i can make it that long.

good

Although Holliday caught some passes out of the backfield and on screens last year, he has shown in the first three days of Fall camp that he possesses the hands to catch the deep ball, as well as the short routes. But whether No. 8 will actually be used in this fashion is still to be determined.
how many times have i heard in the rant that he cant catch regardless of his height

i've seen him drop balls in practice since he's been at LSU. If he has learned to catch punts or has learned to catch period, his use as weapon has increased to a scary level

i think it would be really hard for trindon to be a receiver. unless he gets tons of separation which is possible there is no way he will out jump a corner or safety.

i start to get nervous just reading that

more of a skyler green type role, bubble screens, lots of motion, isolation plays, etc.

it's interesting to me that cordian hagans is working out with the d-line. i figured with his size that he'd likely end up at OL, but he could be a beast on defense

Might be wrong, but I seem to recall Chad Jones getting moved up early to the morning group last fall. Any guesses about Peterson & Baker:

A new face was at the morning practice with the D-line that was absolutely impossible to miss. Much like Chad Jones was moved early in camp last year, Freshman Cordian Hagans is now practicing with the big boys in the morning.

Why haven't they moved up Peterson?

plus he was only a 3-star and wasn't offered by his state school...

i thought that he was underrated during his recruitment. rivals initially listed him at DT but they changed him to OT during his senior season. he looks like he's in good shape in the picture from the practice report

Is there any media person out there who might consider reporting just one thing from practice that is not completely positive? There has to be someone making mistakes.
I am not asking for a negative article at all, just maybe something every now and then against the norm.

Yesterday the same site had an article about a number of dropped passes by the receivers, and Tremaine Johnson almost knocked himself out coming out of the chute.

Tough call since Perrilloux is gone, but I heard that the receivers dropped a few passes Monday & big Herm needs to drop a few more pounds.

quote:Yeah, this is why I don't get overly excited about Fall Practice, and take what is written with a grain of salt. I am excited that it is football season, don't get me wrong, but I won't conclude anything about the team until it actually plays some games.
