This is not about the 2020 LSU Tigers team.

This is about these 2020 rookies. We all understand what the 2019 team did in terms of records and pure dominance. But I think we are going to look back in 10 years and it will be even more apparent.

Maybe it is just me, but looking at these guys every week, it seems like we may look back and see that we didn't just lose a great group of guys with off the charts chemistry. I think we may have lost future all-pros.

Just a thought.

Show me what team who loses 17 starters, many that achieved the highest honors in college football, defensive coordinator, and offensive pass guru that did well the next season...

We were spoiled last season....

However, still doesn't make up for the shitty defensive play...

Not to mention the 2018 class was ranked 15th even with people like Chase included.

So we basically have a weak recruiting class starting with a bunch of young, inexperienced true freshmen and sophomores.

Like I said, this has nothing to do with the 2020 team.

I'm talking about how well the rookies from the 2019 team are performing in the NFL week in and week out.

So when asked six weeks ago if LSU would be 1-2, you would have told that person yes, I could see that?

I don't think anyone could...

Did you honestly believe the defense would be this bad...?

There's absolutely zero excuse for an LSU team to be 1-2 with losses to Miss St and Missouri. I don't care who we lost.

I can understand this point if we are having a discussion about SEC elite, but LSU was beat by teams with way less talent.

Compare the LSU roster with MSU and Missouri (especially considering how many players Missouri had out)

What I saw was complete lack of effort, LSU was not beaten by more talented teams, they were beaten by teams that wanted it more.

Can yall not read?

This post has zero to do with how the 2020 LSU Tigers are performing.

Perhaps I should have posted this on MSB

On paper.

Most of LSU's "talent" is freshmen and sophomores.

......I mean after 3 games its pretty apparent. The football team we all love stinks this year. Life goes on, after last season we should be able to swallow this a lot easier.

We owned Mississippi State even when Curley Hallman was the coach so there's definitely no excuse for that one.

Then what is your point? We had a special team last year with a lot of special players we’re all aware of that.

We went 7-5, 3-5 in 2008 after a NC. That I could swallow 2-8 or 3-7 is a different story ??

Nah, I just didnt put LSU up on the pedestal that many of you seem to have.

Any reasonable person can see they haven't recruited to the point where they can "reload" each year and thats if you dont lose 18 starters or whatever.

Throw in changing the defensive system, Covid, BLM, and any of the rest and I knew some teams would have a tough go of it.

The Big 12 has had an especially tough time.
