Ironically I think Baton Rouge’s downtown was more of a fun place in the 1800s

I think some people pride themselves on keeping BR’s downtown crappy - they’re convinced it keeps BR’s ‘small town feel‘

However, there are tiny towns around the globe that have better downtowns than BR

When I worked downtown 5 years ago - I saw the potential but I think funds were diverted to another area of town
