I've never met him, but knew someone who did. Said he seemed normal aside from some obscene words on his guitar.

Staying in Indiana will do that though. Hes said he will never leave here, where as most musicians from here tend to run off (see Axl Rose, Michael Jackson) so he's more like the average person from here I suspect. Abrasive personality but if you're around people from here enough it's normal.
