Who is this years smaller DB that has everything but height coming from LA?

2017 Roberts #41
2018 washington #26
2019 brooks #16
2020 Kaufman #18
Seems like 24/7 is catching up on these smaller DB and giving them better rankings. No way Roberta should have been #41 in LA. Hope we can identify the most electric smallish playmaker from LA this year regardless of height and get him on board. Kinda miss the scrappy 5'9" nickle/safety/ballhawk that we normally have sprinkled in the defense backfield. Who is a flier we maybe take this year?
Hope we don't miss so many LA kids as we did last year that really sucked. Losing vanpran, Clayton, burns. Going through and looking at these dudes that tcu is pulling from LA no wonder they are giving good games you take some fliers on athletes and even if only 1 of 4 hit that's a huge game changer. Like a lot of the dudes they are getting.

This years guy isn't undersized just not offered, Jardin Gilbert. I'm sure there will be one that fits the criteria catch attention as time goes by though.

We need to reload on DBs for sure

So is he another anti lsu local kid? What gives. He is a damn athlete? And coaches have decided not worth the time for someone who will talk trash about the program and just wants to leave the campus???

It will probably be Matthew Langlois in the 2021 class although he doesn’t fit the “lack of ideal height” category.

Thank you im checking him out. Im not looking for specific small guys but generally they seem to be the athletic studs that we didn't really feel was worth the chance and didn't even give them a chance to be a miss.

Word I've seen is that the staff is high in him but it always seemed they were chasing "bigger" fish. Nit really sure who the bigger fish is however. Thought it was Mukuba but that doesn't appear to have been the case. Maybe Derrick Davis.
Langlois did appear to be the guy we were high on but he committed somewhere didn't he? I like him as well just not as much as Gilbert.
Really have no clue what the plan is for the rest of the DB class aside from Ryan, who didn't appear to play defense much Friday while I watched against Acadiana. To that note didn't see Laterrance Welch at all.

I mean I would be much happier iflsu would have landed roberts, washington, and kaufman... Those dude can play but we backed off them. They would all have contributed or transferred out. I would like these guys on the roster but I get it you can't get them all but. Partial to the small DB that outwork and hustle everyone else bc they grew up smaller and had to approach everything from a different angle... I just love those type of guys.

Must've been waiting on mukuba
Even if they get derrick Davis, they still need a free safety type
Langlois committed to Kansas st. I believe and don't think he was ever making this class

It's a headscratcher for sure.

I'm personally not in the boat for taking Davis. I guess the thought is duplicating Stevens but I'm just not convinced yet. Ryan is the FS I believe. Sell him on nickel/fs and let the chips fall where they may. Just get him and get him on the field

Sage Ryan is the FS type to me while Khari Gee is more SS. It sounds like Langlois and Damarius McGhee are 2 to watch out for.

Height is the most overrated measurable for a DB, most these short guys that are good prospects, have a 36” vertical and start point guard for their high school basketball team. They can jump with the best of them.
