We took Friday off so my son could hunt. Been practicing all summer...He ran into some mechanical problems Thursday evening with his compound bow.The neighbor stepped up and loaned him a crossbow...He ended taking a nice 10 pt Friday afternoon with it...He and I were happy that he got his 1st deer with a bow...I am sure that he would have wanted to use his regular bow...

Tell me about it, I have 3-4 bruisers on my camera every year but never see them during daylight no matter what I do.

If you’re only getting night pics of big bucks, figure out where they are in the day time and if it’s huntable. Where is he likely to be when the rut hits?
If had a night pic over a scrape of a giant 8 pt a while back. The next season, I hunted tight to 8 year old pines that were a 1/4 mile away. I killed him on his way back to the pines one morning.
