You mean governments. Because private citizens have not commanded mercenary armies in any relevant context for an incredibly long time, and they cannot afford it now.

No they wouldn’t. The US in 1776 factually was not governed under any type of anarchist principles. Federalism is not anarchy. How stupid modern pseudo-intellectuals feel about the past is not relevant. It wasn’t anarchy, period.

The Pinkertons were not hired by govt. Groups of private people create wealth. Govt does not. It steals wealth.

OK, you've got a reading problem. What I posted was a comparison between 1776 and today. I didn't say that 1776 federalism was anarchy. Everyone here except you understood that. I said that the power of the national govt (compared to individuals, cities, states) in 1776 would be so diminished that people today would see it as anarchy.
Do you understand now?
