Need a recommendation for a front loading washing machine...

My Whirlpool Duet washer, which I liked a lot, finally crapped out. Looking at Whirlpool, Maytag, LG and Samsung washers...how do all these brands compare to each other? I know Whirlpool and Maytag are built in the same facility...and was told that parts for LG and Samsung are now made in the USA, making them easier to repair...
thoughts?

Don't get a front loader, get a top loader.

Front-load Samsungs are notorious for leaking.

If you must get a front loader, Maytag is a solid option. Speed Queen is better but it didn’t work for our configuration —- the two doors on SQ for W&D would open into each other back to back whereas our Maytag washer door swings left and dryer door swing right, giving us a much larger space to stand / swap clothes in.
If doing it all over again, I would go top loader. But that will require us to remove granite slab that is over front load washer and dryer (used for folded clothes).

Don't.
Get a top loader and save yourself the inevitable problems later.

I have a Bosch front loader; have had it for almost 10 years without a problem. But, I have to leave the door open when not in use to keep mildew/mold away from the seal. And I always add Borax to my towels as another preventative for mildew. My next one will not be a front load.

Had a Samsung for about 10 years. Replaced the drain pump around year 8 and earlier this year it started acting up and giving me error messages. Have an LG now and so far, so good. We'll see how long this one lasts.
