I’m getting ready to drop DirectTv and considering giving it a try. Does anyone have any experience with the service and can offer any opinions about it.

Overall it’s a pretty good service. Easy to use and reliable.

The major issue that I have found is that it does not support 4K devices (the sound doesn’t sync with the picture), which is laughable because I got a free Apple TV 4K when I signed up. So if you plan on streaming on a 4K device, you’ll need to set it to 1080p, and switch it back to 4K if you want to watch other apps in 4K. I did the free trial of YouTubetv and found it to be a better platform but ATTNow is cheaper for ATT unlimited data cellphone customers.

I was an early adopter and we have ATT cell phones. That being said, the price is too cheap, for what I get, to go anywhere else. Free HBO and ATT doesn't count the data we use on our phones to stream TV.

Even if I didn't have all that, I can say the service has been pretty good and reliable.

I would recommend that you do a free trial for YouTube TV and/or Hulu Live before committing to AT&T Now.

I was a previous Directv customer who moved to what was then DirectvNow. Other than better stability and a new name, AT&T hasn’t made a lot of improvements to the product.

I found YouTube TV to be a superior product over AT&T Now. Better cloud DVR, better picture quality, ability to pause live TV, and an easier interface.

I wish I had switched sooner. Most, if not all of the streaming services have a free trial. Give them a test run to see which one works best for you.
