Wha is the hype based on? I am not saying he is not worthy of it. But I do not know much about him, other than hearing he played great in the two games he played in last season. I am just asking from those who have followed closely.

He's an outstanding physical specimen who was described as the best defensive lineman on the field for the Tigers last two games (which includes top 5 pick Glenn Dorsey and future first round pick Tyson Jackson). He was highly recruited. Basically, RJF is "upside" personified.

Apparently he's a real leader and backs it up on the field. It's ashame he missed most of last season, but the coaches are very high on him and with LSU's depth and talent, that's saying a lot.

You'll soon find out what all the hype is about. He could potentially be the best player on the field in all 12 of LSU's games this season. He is consistently unblockable.

He had to wait in the wings for his shot. Everyone knew what a beast he was. Just needed that 1st year to get to be the starter and prove it. Then he got suspended, for grades. Had he not gotten suspended he would have started next to Dorsey last year (would have been incredible). And then yes, he certainly proved what he is capable of in the 2 games he got to play in last year. Basically he is unblockable. He will wreak havoc, be disruptive, etc. He very well could end up as decorated as Dorsey was last year.
