When I was young my dad took me and my brother to a concert and I could have sworn it was Mac Davis. The place looked like an oversized bar, may have held 1500 people.
I just remember he was really funny talking between songs.
One song I remember was called "deadeye". The opening line was "deadeye came to Tucson to gun the Marshall down, paid by a local politician who was known for miles around."
I googled the song, the words to it, and Mac Davis hits and found nothing. Does anybody recognize that song and if it was him?

Sounds like something Jim Stafford might have done too.
