Better at X's and O's and reviving a program? DiNardo.

Better at managing a top program, including his own coaching staff? Miles.

Huh? It was dead when he arrived and dead when he left.

Is this a trick question ? Why are you asking this, other than to get a raise out of LSU fans ?

LSU was not dead when he left. Let's not go there again.

Just about ANY coach worth a damn could get LSU up off the floor where we were. Hell Other than Hallman, they all won at some point in their stays at LSU. Gerry was a OK position coach who was in over his head as HC. Very insecure about himself and that affected him as a coach in picking his asst. coaches. NO way is he better at ANY aspect of being a HC than LES MILES. Miles has won where ever he has gone. He's a winner, Gerry is a loser.

Better question is who is better than Saban?

Check out these Saban records against current SEC coaches:

-- Spurrier (0-2)
-- Miles (0-1)
-- Tubby (2-4)
-- Richt (2-3)
-- Croom (0-1)

5-11. Reminds me of the old Saints records.

Have a nice day, middle-packing supporting team
money can't buy you championships coach lover.

Bama fans will tell you that DiNardo "just won the Curley Hallman's players."

Then Saban won with DiNardo's. This could go on, and on, and on, and on, and on...

Agree.

Disagree. That's too categorical of a statement. There are lots of aspects to being a head coach.

Agree.

Gerry is a loser.

Strongly disagree. The dude was an All-American at Notre Dame as an undersized guard. He just isn't a very good staff manager, nor was he really good at controlling the behavior of a large organization. So he's not cut out for big time coaching? Let's not call the man who "Brought Back the Magic" a loser, though. That's just wrong.

Yeah, there was a better chance of pigs flying than Curley actually ever beating one of Bama's teams ... oh, wait a minute.

Anyway, somebody had to win with Curley's players. Lord knows Curley wasn't very good at it.
