The UGA game, from what I saw on TV, wasn't nearly as woke as some of the other broadcasts. There was brief get together of both teams with something about united or equality or something on their shirts, then that seemed to be it.

The ESPN broadcast of the Ol Miss vs. Florida game, however, was a shite show. All about the Mississippi flag and the efforts of the coaches, the SEC, the players to get the stars and bars removed. It was cringe worthy filth.

At first, I wanted Florida to lose to help the Dawgs, but then I just didn't care. They both could lose and ESPN could burst into flames, and I didn't care. I sure am glad I didn't pay for ESPN+

ps, I have a year free of Disney+ (thanks to Verizon which I am going to drop because of their NFL support). After mandalorian, I am dropping that crap. Might keep it up to the end of the free year, but not much on it that I care for.

I watched the AU/Kentucky game on the SECN and I was fully prepared to cut it off as soon as the political lectures started. I would have had no difficulty whatsoever in doing so.

Thankfully, it was free of partisan political posturing by the broadcast crew. It was a welcome respite from the constant drum-beat of woke politics promulgated by most MSM outlets these days.

As to the UGA/Arky pregame display, it was a wholly non partisan (i.e. generic) call for unity. I posted these comments in another thread:

....College Football is one of the few remaining cultural events that unites people of all political persuasions, class, age, sex, race, etc.. We should not allow partisan political operatives in the media industrial complex to destroy this common bond that unites us.

With that said, I have absolutely no problem with a politically neutral display of unity demonstrated by both Arkansas and Georgia today. Both teams and coaching staffs met midfield before kickoff wearing black shirts emblazoned with white lettering that says “Together: It Just Means More.”

That is a message we all can support. I hope this is a sign that the more partisan political posturing we have seen in pro-sports does not infect the college game.

The UGA game

Razorbacks ran out with the American flag!

I can salute that! LSU on the other hand flies BLM banners in the scoreboards.
