If I lived in Baton Rouge I would be making my exit plans for Thursday morning to beat the traffic because power will be out for weeks in some areas.

The only way I’d ever leave Baton Rouge for a hurricane is if you need electricity to survive. And I’d have a automatic generator if that was the case anyways. It’s ridiculous to scare all the chodes lurking on here into thinking they need to evacuate Baton Rouge.

A generator isnt going to stop a tree from falling through your roof on top of you while you're trying to sleep

Yeah BR evac is about quality of life, not quantity.

Yeah, I’m not leaving BR for a 3 or lower. Maybe I’d consider it for a 4 or a 5.

But if power will be out for weeks, I'm out.

I have an old gigantic white oak in my backyard. Would wipe out the whole house if it fell. Anything over a 1 and I'm not staying in that house. I may not "evacuate", but I'm not staying there lol

We're thinking about coming to Baton Rouge from New Orleans because we know people with generators who would deal with us having an infant in tow.
