Gustav I had a family in house and watching tornados snapping trees 8'-10' up in yard gave me a new respect for these storms.

I was at my wife's grandmaw's house in Labadieville. Saw 100+ year old live oaks snap like toothpicks. Was not fun

Dr Richard Landry (RIP) and I stayed outside all day for Gustav. We were changing a battery on a low lift pump in 60 mph winds.

We would drive from the house to check the houseboat during the storm. We ate breakfast on the houseboat while it was gusting to 100 mph.

After the storm I rode along the high water line in an airboat shooting water moccasins. They were all pissed off and would rare up at the boat with a 600 hp airplane motor!!! Fearless snakes.

Watched a few roofs come off of barns and sheds. That was something to see.
