It’s a balance. I don’t want to have all my personal freedoms taken away, but I don’t think we can ignore society. I’m not talking about spreading the wealth. I’m talking about what ensures our safety, productivity and recognizes unacceptable risks to ourselves or others. Should 10 years old be allowed to drive? Should 6 year olds decide they want sex change operations? Should people be able to drive 100 mph? Should people be allowed to drive with blood alcohol levels of 1.5 as long as they follow traffic rules? Should people have to follow traffic rules?...... aren’t those all restrictions on personal freedom?

Start legalizing everything and you become closer to a third world country. No one wants to work and violence and disorder take over. Go too far and you become a dictatorship.
