I actually addressed that issue in another thread. Honestly, I can't avoid saying that I'm conflicted about that. Obviously the glaring difference is involvement of a lame duck President, but I'm still not settled about it. Not at all. Was there some other precedent to that particular end that they relied upon?

As you should be.
It was an unprecedented power grab by Turtle then and the hypocrisy won’t matter one bit now.
Power will always trump principle at this level.
