We do a yearly golf trip at sort of obscure places with some great destinations mixed in.

Myrtle was cancelled this year.

Did Naples last year. Tiburon, Old Corkscrew, Raptor Bay, Fiddlers Creek. Excellent courses and was a ton of fun. Relatively easy to get in and out and find a decent price Air BnB.

Played Pebble this year. Unreal. You need a caddie because I would have read breaks on the green completely opposite of where they told me to aim. What a course. Great ones nearby with Spanish, Poppy, and Spyglass.

Headed to Streamsong at end of Oct and will report back.

Myrtle is a great place to do a golf trip. So many good courses.

Caledonia is a must. Legends Resort has amazing links style courses which I think were my favorite to play.

Most courses down there have lots of water. It's good to mix and match different style courses.

Also, something to think about...

You don't necessarily have to put together packages. Many of the courses put up tee times on golfnow and other discount websites. If you can string a few together, you could save a lot of money.

We got paired up with locals a couple of times who did that.
